The Belgian Ambassador and his wife has visited the Instituto Moll.

The Instituto Moll has had the pleasure of receiving the Belgian Ambassador, Mr. Marc Calcoen, along with his wife, Mrs. Miek Calcoen Declercq. Both of them has been very interested on the activities carried out by the members of this Centre for Research, whose work evinces that the cultural links between Spain and the ancient Flemish territories go beyond the 17th century.

THE GUEVARA AND THE FLEMISH PAINTING.

Dr Ana Diéguez Rodríguez, Director of the Instituto Moll, and Dr Elena Vázquez Dueñas, External Researcher of this Centre, have just made public The Collectionism of the Guevara's Family. Two Annunciations in Study in the journal Ars Bilduma.

In this paper, the researchers connect to the Guevara two Flemish paintings depicting the Annunciation as well as the coat of arms belonging to that noble family so close to the Habsburgs' court. These works of art were painted between the end of the 15th century and the begining of the 16th, and they are respectively located at the birthplace of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and at a private collection.
