Launch: RKD Study Corpus wandtapijten in Nederland
Throughout the Netherlands, hundreds of historical tapestries are displayed in public spaces such as museums, castles and government buildings. On 14 November, an overview of these tapestries will be published for the first time in the RKD Study Corpus wandtapijten in Nederland (Corpus Tapestries in the Netherlands), written by Hillie Smit.
On the occasion of this publication, the RKD is organising an afternoon dedicated to tapestries. During this event, Rudy Jos Beerens will give an introduction to tapestry art, followed by in-depth lectures by Art Proaño Gaibor and Sara van Dijk.
