Conference: Netherlandish Art and the World.

This conference will be held at Utrecht University from 25 to 27 October and it will be focused on the links between Netherlandish Art and some areas from different continents, as a conclusion of the project The Chinese impact: Images and Ideas of China in the Dutch Golden Age.

The exhibition "80 Years' War. The Birth of the Netherlands".

On October 12th, the exhibition 80 Years' War. The Birth of the Netherlands will be launched by the Rijksmuseum in orther to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the outbreak of this conflict (1568-1648) in which these territories wrested their independence from Spain.

Some paintings by Bruegel, Rubens and Ter Borch, among many others, will join this exhibition, which will be open until 20 January 2019.

International Conference "Fiamminghi al Sud. Oltre Napoli" (Flemish in the South. Beyond Naples).

The Netherlands Institute in Rome (Reale Istituto Neerlandese di Roma/Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut Rome) has organised this conference in order to delve into the influence of Flemish and Dutch artists and their production, between the 15th and the 17th centuries, in Naples and its surroundings areas, as well as in Sicily. The conference will be held in Rome the 20th and 21st of this month.

The Coremans Project. Intervention criteria for easel paintings.

The document The Coremans Project. Intervention criteria for easel paintings, edited by the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute and arisen from the interdisciplinary work by different specialists in this field, will be launched tomorrow, 12 september 2018, at 6 p.m., at the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

A new contribution by our collaborator Dr. Elena Vázquez Dueñas.

Magnificence and Art. The development of tapestries throughout the history, directed by Miguel Ángel Zalama and coordinated by Jesús F. Pascual Molina along with María José Martínez Ruiz is already available.
 

A look at the firmament through tapestries is the contribution by Dr. Elena Vázquez Dueñas, an external collaborator of the Instituto Moll, to the knowledge of these valuable works of art.
